Rana Executive Committee Meeting 9/20/2015; Noon

Others present were the families of everyone except Mukesh, he was alone. Ambika and Shree were present to discuss topics associated with young adults.
We decided to explore the idea of adding junior members to our executive committee. They would be in high school, college and post college.
Finalized the Gandhi community service day.
Discussed the lack of enthusiasm for the Dharma conference, not just among RANA members. It was overall not well attended. We made a decision to make an effort to emphasize important of cultural, dharmic activities. As such, we decided to make the diwali gathering more of a cultural experience. Rajshekhar was going to finalize the possibility of having a retreat at the Arsha Vidya Gurukulum.
Discussed the New Year’s eve bash that would be organized by RANA NJ. Comedian Tushar Singh has been engaged to coordinate and host the event. He would be flown in from India with airfare paid, 25% of the net profit and $400 fixed fee. Proceeds will go towards charity and funding of the youth community service program.
NJ General Body meeting will be held 1 hour prior to the New Years bash.
Ambika and Shree will organize Ski Trip for young adults and youth on 1/8 to 1/10.
For Holi a Teerth Yatra will be organized with the final destination to be New Vrindavan in West Virginia.
Next meeting will be held at Chetan or Rajshekhar’s home with families and will rotate to Mukesh’s home and Jay’s home in the future. The date is October 18th in the afternoon.

Rana Executive Committee Meeting 3/22/2015; 3 PM

The Menu was finalized and Shekhar will convey the selections to Royal Albert.
Chetan suggested we charge a premium for registrations at the door and all agreed.
Chetan suggested we get rid of the surcharge to those that pay using paypal and all agreed.
Shekhar will make the changes to the announcement letter and Manu will send it to the membership.
Manu will speak with Mukesh regarding website development to chose between the 2 options we have. Manu will then try to negotiate a better price.
Chetan will suggest DJ and Photographer options for the Holi gathering to Shekhar.
Chetan to communicate with Hardev Mahida to finalize date and location of Rana camping. Lets try to do this soon so we can announce at Holi.
Further discussion regarding the youth gathering. Manu suggested that we keep the focus on NJ chapter with invitations to go to other chapters. If it is going to be a national effort, it should be organized by NEC and supported by our chapter. Usha mamiji spoke to Mahavir and he has agreed to help in fundraising. More discussions to follow.
Diwali will be November 7th 2015 and October 29th 2016. Holi will be 4/16/16.
Manu will start contacting RANA members to support the RANA youth ambassador program.
Each member of the RANA-NJ EC, will contact and invite members to the Holi gathering that were assigned to them for data validation. We should all also call people that we know in Rana and invite them to attend the Holi gathering. Please ask if there are any children that would want to sing or dance or do some type of presentation.

Rana Executive Committee Meeting 2/22/2015; 1 PM

Holi will be on March 28th. Shekhar will inquire with Bridgewater temple for availability, policy for food, if they provide food and what is the capacity.
Youth program will be on weekend of June 26th. Raj will talk to Usha Singh regarding this.
Raj to send email to Hardev Mahida regarding Camping. The dates will be July 2nd to July 5th. Hardev Singh’s phone number is 856-952-3302.
August 22nd will be the date for the picnic. Venue will be the park in Thompson Park in Monroe.
Diwali tentative date is November 11th.
Raj to give access to the membership database to committee members. The names of the membership will be equally divided up amongst the executive committee members. Each member will call their list and verify if the information is valid. They will also ask each person they speak with if they know of other Rajputs in the area. Manu will include this information in the introduction email. This must be completed in 2 weeks.
March 1 will be a conference call at 3PM. Manu will send conference call invitation.
Manu will try to locate Rana constitution.
Manu introduced the RANA Youth Ambassador program. This is for ALL youths that have completed 9th grade and going into 10th grade. It is a 2 year program. Manu has requested the executive committee to contribute $750 each. Manu will contribute $2,000. This will be a total of $6,500 and a good start to the goal of $25K.
Mukesh opened discussion on how we can assist new Rajputs that come to America. The discussion regarding this will continue in the future.
Shekhar will scan the new Rana directory into pdf and convert it to a word document and forward to Manu.
Moving forward, Bimal will record minutes of the meetings.

Rana Proposed Executive Committee Meeting 11/23/2014; 3 PM

Since we have 3 members that have Raj within their names, Raj Shekhar will be referred to as Shekhar, Raj Bimal will be referred to as Bimal and Rajiv will be referred to as Manu.
It was predetermined that Manu will be President and Chetan will be Vice President. Manu requested Jayshree to be treasurer, Shekhar to be Cultural Secretary, Bimal to be General Secretary. Mukesh and Jay would like to jointly be Membership and Fundraising committee members. (In hindsight, Manu believes it is better to divide the tasks since that is the way it has been done in the past. Manu will request Jay to be in charge of membership and Mukesh to spearhead Fundraising.)
There will be a conference call on the first and third Sunday of each month at 5 PM.
Bimal and Jay will independently research the framework for a member database management system and propose the same in the future. We will try to deploy the system by the middle of January.
One of the key goals is to have a scholarship for Rana – NJ students. Details to be discussed in the future. Rana should be more than just a social organization.
Names of members at Large were discussed. Manjari, Chadrika, Rasik, Mahavir Singh Chaudesama, Viresh, Sanjiv Singh, LP Singh, Gajendra Singh Solanki were the names that were discussed. (Manu will talk to others and discuss who would be available and interested)
We will invite Junior Members to the executive committee. This will be discussed in the future.

Manu will do the following:
Reach out to Jawahar Singh for a copy of the constitution or find out where we can get a copy.
Find out how national Data is handled.
Who manages the website?
Who manages the Facebook site?
Find out the date of the general body meeting.
Try to schedule a time to meet the previous leadership team. This can be prior to the next scheduled General Body meeting.
Manu will follow up with Chandrika and Viresh to get the list of all the members of our Chapter.
Jayshree Mahida should change address for account statements to go to her home.
