2016 RANA NJ Chapter General Body Meeting

As the tenure of the 2015-2016 NJ EC tenure nears its end, the annual general body was held. As required by the constitution, NJ EC will appoint an auditor of the financial statements. We are discussing this with Prakashsinh Chavda and Mahavir ji.

Many members were present including members of the incoming 2017-2018 NJ Executive Committee.

The following annual report was provided by the NJ EC to the attendees:

It has been a delightful privilege to serve you the past 2 years. As we look forward to a smooth transition for the next committee, please note the following by your NJ EC:

Although subject to audit, From a financial perspective we started our tenure in 2015 with a balance of $10,153.71 and ended with a balance of $15,800.73.

The following is a report of activities during our tenure:

Hosted a very well attended Picnic event with Masala Dosa.

Supported The Dharma Conference and had a booth there.

Hosted a wonderful Camping event.

To celebrate Mahatma Gandhi’s Birth, Organized a youth volunteer initiative that prepared 400 meals for the benefit of the Trenton Soup Kitchen.

Sent Post Cards to over 1,000 Rajputs encouraging them to join RANA and or be more active in RANA.

Hosted the Diwali event at Arsha Vidya Gurukulum. RANA members contributed $1,500 in donations.

Created a Chapter website.

Created a Chapter facebook site.

Contributed to 3 charities.

Re Created an Electronic version of the RANA membership directory.

Added 3 new families to membership.

Hosted The New Year Dhamaka. Very successful and entertaining. Highest non convention gross revenue generating event in the History of RANA.

Added 3 junior and youth members to executive committee as members at large.

Members of NJ EC were active in neighboring Chapter events such as Picnics of NY and DC Chapter.

Positively supported NEC and attended meetings as requested.

2016

Hosted an Outdoor Picnic gathering for Holi.

Initiated the RANA Youth Ambassador program by sending 3 RANA Youths to Jaipur India.

Hosted the annual picnic.

Hosted the annual Camping event.

To celebrate Mahatma Gandhi’s Birth, Organized a youth volunteer initiative that prepared 400 meals for the benefit of the Trenton Soup Kitchen.

Actively participated in the 10th Biennial Convention.

The following 4 Chapter Members have been installed as the 2017-2018 NJ Executive Committee and will take office January 1, 2017:

Treasurer Sanjay Singh
